A person who is fit is capable of living life to its fullest extent. Physical and mental fitness are very important and people who are both, physically and mentally fit are less prone to medical conditions as well. Fitness does not only refer to being physically fit, but also refers to a person’s mental state as well.
Mental fitness can only be achieved if the body is functioning well. People who are physically fit are also healthier, are able to maintain their optimum weight, good structure. A healthy body is less prone to cardiac and other health problems. Therefore our College offers students, a cover up of fitness activities with a wide range of equipment.
We have the following:
Treadmill to gear up fitness. Treadmills are used as exercise machines for running or walking in one place. Treadmills also offer the option for careful heart rate and blood pressure monitoring for patients suffering from those issues. In general, walking on a treadmill works the lower body. Bringing the abdominal muscles into the mix by contracting them helps support the lower back. Treadmills aid in heart strength, weight loss and decreased insulin resistance.
A rowing machine, is a machine used to simulate the action of watercraft rowing for the purpose of exercise or training for rowing. The indoor rower is calibrated to measure the amount of energy the rower is using through their use of the equipment. Indoor rowing primarily works the cardiovascular systems. Cardio-focused, rowing also stresses many muscle groups throughout the body anaerobically and thus rowing is often referred to as a strength-endurance sport. As a cardio exercise, rowing strengthens the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart, blood vessels, and blood. It is responsible for transporting important materials, such as nutrients and oxygen, throughout the body.
Multi gym is an overall equipment, all in itself as one worker. Multi-gyms of Taurus are multi-functional fitness machines for strengthening the muscles. This includes, i.e., very stable weight racks for training with a barbell or the Total Trainer: This fitness machine offers a huge variety of exercises.
They are particularly good for stretching and aiding in the performance of dynamic moves. They can also be used for basic abdominal exercises. Simply sitting on a gym ball engages one’s body’s stabilizer muscles as one is using the muscles in one’s back and abdominals in order to keep one’s balance on the ball. Training with a gym ball in the correct way is beneficial for keeping a good posture and it promotes maintaining a good spinal alignment throughout most exercises. Gym ball workouts are great for those with long-standing back problems.
A medicine ball (also known as an exercise ball, a med ball, or a fitness ball) is a weighted ball roughly the diameter of the shoulders (approx. 13.7 inches), often used for rehabilitation and strength training. The medicine ball helps to improve strength and neuromuscular coordination.
