Placement Cell

The Placement Cell of N.K.T. National College of Education for Women creates a platform where students can showcase their teaching skills which different schools seek to explore and utilise. The cell aims for a bright and prosperous future of the students by providing them with excellent placement opportunities.

Objectives

  • To conduct Workshops, Seminars and Special Events to assist student teachers in career planning.
  • To help student teachers identify their career goals and provide an edge in the present day competitive job market.
  • To develop employment opportunities and foster partnership with schools to facilitate on-and-off campus recruitments.
  • To empower student teachers with leadership qualities.
  • To enable student teachers to face interviews with ease.
  • To equip them with life coping skills.
  • To enable the student teachers to find the right institution for their teaching career.
  • To get the fitting remuneration for their service.

Every year the Placement cell of the college holds a week long recruitment drive “Recruits Pursuit” to create placement opportunities for students in which schools are invited to take part. Starting from 2006, we have successfully placed a large section of teacher graduates who have appeared for placements. The Cell also extends its services to the alumni of this esteemed institution. At the end of the year the Secretary of the College addresses all students in the function Hallmark of Excellence conducted to appreciate students who have participated in the Recruits Pursuit and he hands over the letters of appointment to the student-teachers who have been recruited in schools.
